Local pour · checked 2026-09-03
Baltimore has a state cocktail and a state beer, and happy hour is where they meet. The local pour is a fresh-squeezed crush, a cold Natty Boh, and a tray of oysters. Federal Hill, Fells Point, and the Inner Harbor all pour the same trio at different prices.
The crush is official
The Orange Crush — vodka, fresh-squeezed orange, triple sec, and soda over crushed ice — started at Harborside Bar & Grill in West Ocean City, which claims to be the home of the original since the 1990s, and Maryland named it the official state cocktail in 2025. In the city, the order is an $8 line item: Watershed in Cross Street Market posts Monday–Friday 3:00pm–6:00pm and late-night Friday–Saturday 10pm–1am with crushes $8 16oz / $14 32oz, wine $7, and buck-a-shuck oysters $1. Loch Bar in the Four Seasons on the Inner Harbor posts Monday–Friday 3pm–6pm with orange and grapefruit crushes $8 and local oysters $2.50 each. The Choptank in Broadway Market's south shed in Fells Point posts Monday–Friday 4–7pm, bar only, with crushes $8 and fresh shucked east coast oysters $1.50 each.
Boh is the beer underneath
National Bohemian is Baltimore's legacy lager, and the happy-hour boards treat it like a mascot. Nobles Bar and Grill on South Charles posts Happy Hour Tuesday through Friday 4pm–7pm with $3 domestics, $5 rail drinks and craft cans, and $6 crushes and 32oz domestic drafts — plus $3 Natty Boh 16oz cans all day, every day. The Choptank's bar-only sheet lists Natty Boh at $5 alongside Blue Moon, Bud Light, and Guinness Blonde. Order the Boh first, then decide on the crush.
Oysters are the delivery system
The Chesapeake sets the food half: $1 oysters at Watershed, $1.50 east coast oysters at the Choptank, $2.50 locals at Loch Bar. All three windows land between 3 and 7 on weekdays, so the crawl writes itself: Federal Hill at 3, Fells Point at 4, harbor view at 6.
